Florida requires that the interests of every abused and neglected child be represented by a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) in court. Having a GAL is an immeasurable help to these children. However, without adequate public funding, there aren’t enough Guardian Advocates.

 

Voices for Children - Tampa Florida

This is where Voices for Children steps in.

 

Epic Night Run is excited to sponsor Voices for Children as part of their 5k event in Tampa, Florida on April 29th.

VFC’s ultimate goal is to provide advocates for 100% of the abused, neglected, and abandoned children so that their voices are heard and they are placed into a safe and loving new home.

Voices for Children provides financial support to Guardian Advocates, volunteer recruitment, and training opportunities for staff, volunteers, and board members. They also help increase awareness of the importance of the work of GALs and the services they provide to dependent children.

Feel the base pump in your chest, flashing lights surround you, and people glow in the black light as they run past.  Suddenly you’re blasted with EPIC colors, bright in the neon lights…  Welcome to the POWDER station!

Not long after Epic glowing water splashes on and around you! The color seems to be alive as it runs down everyone glowing brightly in the black lights.

 

Now, glowing and wet, your heart beating to the rhythm of the music, you enter the EPIC inflatable obstacle course and into the EPIC 20′ tunnel of color FOAM!

 

Ahead, you see a 4′ EPIC wall. The base continues pumping, fueling you as you climb and others fall around you. But no need to fear, there is more than one way over this wall!

 

Blood pumping, music booming, laughing with your friends, you make your way through our challenging EPIC 70′ inflated obstacle course… now the finish line is in sight! You run towards an EPIC finish to the most EPIC 5k of your life! Now it’s time for the after party!

This doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of how much fun you will have at the Epic Night Run.  So take a break from sitting behind your desk.  Get off the couch, set your phone down and come have an amazing life experience with us, your friends and family!  It’ll be an EPIC good time!

Epic Night Run is coming and it’s going to be an amazing night time 5k run!

We are planning a lot of fun things for everyone.  To help communicate with everyone before and during the event, and to help you communicate with other attendees, we are going to use social media – Mainly Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.  We strongly recommend you follow us for up to date information during the race.

 

We will use hashtags during the event.  Here are some tags you may want to follow while you are at the event:

  • #enrlostandfound – If you lost or found something let everyone know!
  • #enrsolo – Going to the event along and want to meet other like-minded attendees?
  • #enrmeetup – Want to meet other groups after the event?  Use this tag to let everyone know about after event entertainment!
  • #enrfeedback – Have an idea that will help us improve our run?  Let us know with this hashtag.

Also, each we will use an event-specific hashtag for each race to communicate information leading up to the event.

Run What Makes You Happy. Running is such an amazing way to stay in shape and live a healthy, happy life.

Running can make you happier.  Not only does exercise affect the chemistry of your brain (increasing endorphins and improving neurogenesis) it also has the unique benefits of being both a social and an independent exercise.

Run What Makes You Happy

There are a ton of running groups to talk to and share experiences with. These groups are always eager to share knowledge and help runners stay motivated and growing.

You can also run solo, alone in your thoughts, with the cadence of your footfalls helping you release the stress of the day.

Running also offers incredible variety. Obstacle Runs, Ulta Running, 5ks, Marathons, etc.  We all have our favorites.
